I am still here!
It’s been an exhausting couple of weeks and it doesn’t look like it is going to slow down anytime soon. Since my last post, more than two weeks ago (bad blogger — I know), I have moved into a new apartment! I am adjusting pretty well to living on my own, but there is still a lot to get used to (particular cooking and living in the city).
And to top that all off, I start grad school in TWO WEEKS!
There is A LOT going on in my life now. A part of me feels like a lot of things are changing and that scares the crap out of me! I’ve been so busy that I have neglected a lot of things in my life. As a result, LadyBlueJay has suffered a little, but I promise it won’t be for longer. There is a cool, crafty post that I have queued up for later on this week.
This post was really just to let you guys know that I am still alive and still up to blogging.
P.S. I actually visited the local library yesterday. I was pretty shocked to find it so huge and spacious and open. The library near my parent’s house is small, dark, and cluttered. AND I literally live a min from Barnes and Noble! I could walk there is if I wanted to! I think I am going to like living in the city!
Happy Reading,
Jayla

I didn’t know you were crafty!!! I’m a scrapbooker and recently got back into it after a couple year hiatus. I’m doing Project Life, and it’s so addicting!
Anywho, I wish you ALL the luck! It sounds like a lot of new experiences but use your coping skills (aka Books and Crafts) to help you get through it all.
I am crafty! I mainly deal with crochet and jewlery stuff, but I am branching out to other aspects of the crafty world. I’ve been trying to think of ways to incorporate my craftiness into my blog. And yes, when I was in college, I used to crochet A LOT. It helped me to get through some tough times, lol. Thanks for the well wishes! They really mean a lot.
I know it feels scary but you are really starting an exciting time in your life. Seems like you have made several small steps that have led to major opportunities. Keep us posted on your progress.
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I think it will definitely be a challenge trying to balance life and school and work, but I am ready to accept it. The only thing I have to realize is that some things may be out of my control and I need to learn to expect that.
I will definitely try to keep my readers updated on how things are going.
